A small group of us had been gathering for weekly prayer and fellowship for a couple of years. We would get together, share scripture, share prayer requests, pray, and worship. After the first six months or so of these meetings, our time together began to intensify.
In the fall of 2016 the Lord began speaking to us. First, we felt He told us that He would give us more direction after the presidential election. When the election was over, He instructed us to live, eat, and breathe Romans 12:1-2, which says “Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”
From November 2016 to January 2017 our gatherings became more focused. The Lord spoke to us in January and told us He would show us after the inauguration what He had been preparing. The inauguration was on January 20th. We gathered together for prayer again on January 23rd. Normally our times together would end around 8:30 or 9:00 pm. That night was different.
Intercession and worship was intense. Jerry was on his knees in prayer. A couple of us laid hands on him, and he went out in the Spirit for an extended period. We also prayed for Joyce, Jerry’s wife. After she received prayer, she stated that the Lord had done something so deep inside of her she knew she would never be the same. We continued praying and worshiping late into the night.
Jerry and Joyce were so affected by the events of Monday night, they stayed home worshiping, praying, and reading their Bibles for the remainder of the week. Jerry had been reading in the Psalms all week. Friday morning, January 27th, Jerry’s family came to visit. On Friday afternoon, after they had left, Jerry picked up his Bible to continue reading and noticed there was a wet spot in Psalm 39-63. He asked Joyce if their great grandchild had spilled something in his Bible. Joyce told Jerry, no, the grand baby didn’t have anything to drink.
Upon inspection of the Bible, the wet spot did not seem to be water. Later that afternoon Jerry and Joyce brought the Bible to Johnny and Leslie to see what they thought. They all agreed it was oil.
Over the next couple weeks, the oil progressed through the Bible, saturating it from Psalm 39 through Revelation; even the concordance in the back became saturated with oil. The oil then appeared in Genesis 1 and continued through the Old Testament back to Psalm 39, saturating the entire Bible.
Jerry placed the Bible in a gallon size Ziploc bag. Oil began collecting in the bag. At that point we moved the Bible to a shallow plastic container. Once in that container, the oil began to collect even more, filling that container up also.
The oil is now in its 4th container. When the container fills up, we fill vials. We believe the Lord has instructed us to fill vials and give the oil away. His Word to us was, “Give it away SO I can replenish it.” As of this writing, we have given away over 50,000 vials of oil. The oil continues to replenish.
The scripture the Lord has highlighted to us is James 5:14-15, “Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will RESTORE the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.”
